We will never know if this is the truth because we will NEVER revisit this dump. I also mentioned that no one had offered to help us bring our items up the stairs the night before and there was no offer of helping us bring these items back down either, after my sharing with her the fact that my husband had surgery recently. I asked to speak with the manager to address the issues we had with this room and was told it wasn’t only my room but that they were going to remodel the place and weren’t fixing things that needed to be repaired. However, the phone in the room didn’t work so I had to call them from my cell phone. I then called the front desk to see whether the elevator had been repaired yet…it had not. In the morning, I was going to take a shower but it looked so nasty there was no way I was going into it. I would have left then but it was 10pm and we were exhausted. This definitely did not live up to Hilton standards. Arriving into our room, we were greeted by drapes that had been shredded by someone (see picture). There was pink ice cream hardened on the carpeted stairway that no one had addressed. So we had to haul all of it up the stairs with no one to assist us (my husband had major surgery a little over 6 weeks ago and should not have been lifting these heavy things). Heading into the hotel, a gentleman informed me that someone’s lovely child had pulled the fire alarm and the elevators wouldn’t work. We had some valuable items in our car that needed to come into the hotel with us and I loaded up the cart to take them into our room. This hotel was rated pretty well so we figured it was a decent place to stay.

Since we are Diamond members of Hilton, we try to stay at a Hilton family hotel. We spent the night there while traveling home from vacation.
